About Our Apps

Speech pathology technology designed by a speech pathologist to support communication, cognition and independence.

Overview

Technology Built by a Speech Pathologist

Developed from real clinical experience, the My Mind Matters Communication App (AAC) and Brain Training App combine evidence-based therapy with innovative technology to support people of all ages across home, school, work, hospital and community settings.

My Mind Matters was created by speech pathologist Amelia Griffin after recognising the need for technology that truly reflected the way speech pathology is delivered.

Rather than waiting for the right tools to exist, Amelia designed them herself—working closely with clients, families and support teams to create practical, evidence-based solutions that improve communication, cognition and independence.

Every activity, communication board and cognitive task has been developed with real clinical needs in mind. Whether supporting a child developing language, an adult recovering from stroke, or someone living with dementia, My Mind Matters provides personalised tools that grow with the individual.

Two Apps. One Complete Therapy Solution.

Unlike standalone AAC or brain training apps, My Mind Matters combines communication and cognitive support into one connected therapy platform.

Communication App

Supporting confident, functional communication

While working as a speech pathologist and volunteering in aged care, Amelia saw first-hand the challenges many people faced in finding communication tools that truly met their individual needs. Rather than waiting for someone else to create the solution, she decided to build one herself.

Working closely with children, adults, families and clinicians, Amelia developed the My Mind Matters Communication App using their feedback and real-world experiences to create personalised, evidence-based assistive technology that supports communication, language, literacy and independence.

Brain Training App

Evidence-based cognitive activities

Through her clinical work and volunteer work, Amelia also recognised the need for engaging, evidence-based brain training activities to support attention, working memory and cognitive-communication skills. Instead of waiting for the right resource to exist, she developed the My Mind Matters Brain Training App alongside the people who would use it.

Designed with input from clients, families and aged care residents, the app strengthens cognition, language, reading comprehension and executive functioning while supporting learning, independence and quality of life across schools, speech pathology clinics and aged care.
